PomPom Awning

Und hier ist PomPom Awning aus dem Buch "Greetings from the Knit Café". Ich habe leider die türkise Originalwolle nicht bekommen (mein Portemonnaie sagt "Danke") und habe es durch eine Baumwoll-Acryl-Mischung von der Hamburger Wollfabrik ersetzt (mein Portemonnaie sagt zum zweiten Mal "Danke").

Statt des Mohairgarns habe ich Lana Grossa Estivo genommen, ein Flausch-Baumwoll-Mischgarn, das ich aus dem Aufribbeln eines alten Pullovers noch hatte. Gestrickt mit Nadeln 4mm (weil ich zu blöde bin, meine Nadeln in die richtigen Hüllen zu stecken und eine Nadel 4mm in einer Hülle für 4,5mm aufbewahrt habe).

Das Tuch gibt ein richtig tolles Karibikfeeling und eignet sich auch ganz hervorragend als Tischläufer. Wie so ziemlich jedes Design, was ich bisher von Kat Coyle in Angriff genommen habe, ich liebe es.

And here is PomPom Awning from the book "Greetings from the Knit Café". Unfortunately I did not get the original yarn (my wallet says "thank you") and I substituted it by a cotton-acryl-mix from Hamburger Wollfabrik (and again "thank you" from my wallet).

Instead of using mohair yarn for the fuchsia part I used Lana Grossa Estivo, a fluffy cotton mix yarn I had in my stash from ribbing an old sweater I did not like anymore. I knitted with needles 4mm (I was so d*** stupid to pack needles 4mm in a package of needles 4,5mm).

The wrap has a certain caribbean flair and you can use it as a perfectly as a table runner as well. As nearly every design by Kat Coyle I have done, I love it.

Secret of the Stole - Teil 4 / Hint 4

Glücklicherweise habe ich den Hint geschafft bevor die Erkältung zuschlug :-D Seit gestern Halsschmerzen - wie so viele hier - und heute zusätzlich noch beginnende Schnupfen. Habe heute Mittag frei und trabe gleich ins Bett und ratze.

Fortunately I finished hint 4 before I got a cold. Since yesterday I have a sore throat - like so many of us around here - and today the sniffles begin :-( I have half the day off and I will take a nap.

Secret of the Stole - Teil 3 / Hint 3

Der 3. Teil der Geheimnis-Stola ist fertig. Mehr Löcher :-) Das Design gefällt mir. Es sieht aus, als würden Schneeflocken auf dem Tuch tanzen. Ich fiebere dem nächsten Teil entgegen. Noch 3 Tage. In der Zwischenzeit habe ich ja noch einige andere Teile zu bearbeiten. Da wäre ja noch der Show-Off Rock. Ich habe 7 Gnubbelreihen gearbeitet. Das war's für den Teil. Ich kürze den Part um eine Gubbelreihe, da ich aufgrund meiner Länge den Rock etwas kürzen will. Für alle, die sich für den Rock interessieren, die Gnubbel waren zwar zeitintensiv, aber nicht zu langweilig. Ich konnte mich ganz gut entspannen.

Well, the 3rd part of the current stole mystery. More holes :-) I like the design. It reminds me of snow flakes falling down. My needles and I are burning to do more. Still three more days :-D. In the meantime there are the other things, e. g. the show-off skirt. I have seven rows of bobbles now, and last weekend I had to rework one complete row! I will not work another bobble row the pattern calls for. I want to shorten the skirt a little bit due to my length. All in all the bobbles were time consuming but not too boring. I relaxed while working on them.

Secret of the Stole - Teil 2 / Hint 2

Ok, Secret of the stole wird wohl nicht so 'lacey' wie das ebenso zur Zeit laufende Secret of Chrysopolis-Mystery. Nichts desto trotz mag ich es. Chrysopolis werde ich wohl irgendwann danach stricken und vielleicht noch mit Kristallen tunen. Aber hier ist es nun, das 2. enthüllte Geheimnis:

Well, Secret of the stole is not as lacey as the Secret of Chrysopolis mystery running also these days. Nevertheless I like it. I am going to knit Chrysopolis somewhere in the future, maybe adding some crystal beads. But for now, here it is... the 2nd mystery hint revealed:

Secret of the Stole 1 - Teil 1 / Part 1

Ich kann wohl kaum einem Mystery widerstehen! Da ich es für 2 Shawls nicht gepackt habe, bei Renee mitzumachen, hatte ich wenigstens mit der Wolllieferung für Secret of the Stole Glück. Bisher ist der Schal nicht so ganz lacy. Ich bin gespannt, wie es weitergeht.

Das Garn ist von der Hamburger Wollfabrik, 200 gr. und ein paar Rocaille-Perlen.

It seems like I could not resist any Mystery! While it was not possible for me to take part in the last two mysteries by Renee, I was ready for Secret of the Stole. By now the stole is not so lacy. I am thrilled what will follow.

The yarn is from Hamburger Wollfabrik, 200 gr. and a couple of Rocailles.

Mystery Stole 3

Mystery Stole 3 war super. Ich bin pünktlich fertig geworden, habe den Flügel gestrickt und bin happy mit dem Ergebnis. Hier die Bilder:

Endlich - Mystery Stole 3 / Finally started - Mystery Stole 3

Oh Mann, ich dachte, ich könne niemals loslegen. Erst kam die Wolle nicht bei, dann habe ich mich für andere Perlen entschlossen, von denen ich nachbestellen musste. So habe ich ziemlich verspätet letzte Woche Samstag angefangen und bin jetzt im 2. Hinweis Reihe 4. Ich habe eine Merino-Viskose-Mischung und irisierende Tschechische Glasperlen gewählt. Diese Stola wird mich zu meiner Kreuzfahrt im Dezember begleiten :-)

Oh my, I thought, I would never start with this stole. First I did not receive my yarn, then I decided to use other beads than formerly chosen. And I had to order additional ones, because I had only around 80 in stock. So I started very belated last Saturday and got to the 4th row of clue 2 so far. I have chosen a merino-viscose/rayon blend and irisdescent czech glass beads. This stole will be with me on my sea cruise in december.

Passend zum Beginn des neuen Mystery Shawls bin ich mir dem VTL Shawl mit Nr.20 Bordüre fertig geworden. Der weiße Hauch sieht ungespannt so aus:

Mystery 3 bzw. 7 / Mystery 3 resp. 7 - Clue1

Der neue Mystery Shawl hat gestern begonnen. Offiziell ist es wohl der Dritte, aber für mich ist der Siebte in Renees Serie. Diesesmal benutze ich irgendein Mischgarn mit Leinen. Es lag in meinem Wollvorrat und ich kann es nicht mehr so genau zuordnen. Es ist ganz zart fliederfarben gemischt mit einem Faden in creme-weiß. Ach ja, das wird ein dreieckiger, von oben herunter gestrickter Shawl.

The new mystery has started yesterday. Officially it is called the 3rd one but to me it is the 7th in Renee's series. This time I use some undefined yarn from my stash with linen and merino, I guess. It is in pale lilac with one strand cream-white. By the way, this is going to be a triangular shawl knitted top-down.

Die erste Seite, das No. 20 Bordürenmuster, ist geschafft. Nun kommt das Mittelteil über die gesamte Schallänge, dann nochmals die No. 20 Bordüre. Geht doch schnell, oder ?
