Jaywalkers...these socks are made for walking...

Das ich die nochmal fertig bekomme. Ich fand das Muster super schön und wollte unbedingt ein Paar davon haben, eben nicht nur eine Socke, die alleine vor sich herdümpelt. Früher habe ich mit wahrer Leidenschaft und sehr schnell ein Paar Socken genadelt. Heute braucht das schon etwas länger, da es ja noch soooo viel nebenher zu nadeln gibt. Arbeite ich an dem einen Teil, würde ich gerne das andere weiterstricken usw.

So hatte ich 3 Teile in Arbeit und eines davon waren die Jaywalkers (Beginn: Januar). So rund einen Monat habe ich dafür gebraucht. Ich finde diese Farbe einfach zum Reinbeißen. Das Muster macht Spaß, ist einfach zu stricken, die Anleitung gut zu verstehen. Ich habe nach der amerikanischen Anleitung gestrickt, die eine 'normale' (also keine Jojo-/Bumerang-) Ferse vorsieht. Ein paar Änderungen musste ich bei der Größe vornehmen, da die Socken sonst zu weit geworden wären. Jetzt passen sie wie angegossen.

I never thought to get this done. The pattern was nice and I wanted a pair, not just one sad single sock. In the past I knitted socks with true addiction and speed. But today it lasts. There are so many things to knit on the side. While I am working on one piece I think about how nice it would be to knit on another and vice versa.

I had three WOP one of them the Jaywalkers (started in Jan). It took me round about a month to finish them. I like the colour (makes me want to bite into it :-D). The pattern is fun and it is easy to knit, the pattern instructions are clear. I knitted with the American version of the instruction with a 'normal' heel (not jojo heel). I had to adapt the pattern a little bit on the size. The socks would have become to wide for my leg with the given numbers. Now they fit perfectly...like they were made for me.

Endlich eine Socke fertig / Finally one sock knitted

Es hat lange gedauert, aber gestern Abend war ich in Schwung und habe endlich die erste Socke von den Jaywalkers fertig bekommen. Sogar das Bündchen für die zweite Socke ist schon auf den Nadeln. Mal sehen, wie lange es da dauert. Ich war durch das 4. Muster des Mystery 5 ziemlich in Aktion. Schließlich hat man da pro Reihe 576 Maschen zu stricken und das über 96 Reihen. Es war dröge und dem Muster im 2. Clue super ähnlich. An sich eine reine Fleißarbeit. Ich hoffe nur, dass das Ergebnis schön aussieht. Hier ein Bild vom Jaywalker-Muster:

It took some time but yesterday evening was the right evening to finish the first sock of the famous Jaywalkers. I even was able to start the ribbing of the second one. Let's see how long I will need to finish that one. I was pretty busy with the 4th clue of the Mystery 5 shawl. I mean, you have 576 stitches on the needle and have to knit that for 96 rows. It was merely a work of diligence, not real fun. Besides the fact that clue 4 was nearly the same as clue 2. I hope the outcome will look nice. And now a picture of the Jaywalker pattern:
