Und noch ein Rock... / One more skirt...

Pause, dies ist der vorerst letzte Rock vor den Ravelympics :-) und meine eigene Kreation. Rockteil nach meinen Maßen, ein Netzteil, in das eigentlich Ripsbänder eingewebt werden sollten, dann doch nicht, und zum Schluß eine Art Faltenbordüre mit ein paar Löchern passend zum Netzteil.


Und hier die Daten:


Wolle: Borkum, Wolle Rödel (was sonst)

Knäuel: 8

Nadelstärke: 3,5 mm


Und genau das richtige Wetter, um ihn zu tragen!!! Schon 3 mal.


Break! For the time being this is the last skirt prior to the the Ravelympics :-) and my own design. Stockinette part for my size. Then a mesh insertion that I wanted to weave in ribbon first but dropped that idea after finishing the skirt. And the edging is a mixture of pleats with some YO to match the mesh part.


And here are the facts:

Rock Manie / Skirt mania - Indigo Ripples Skirt No. 2

Ok, ich gebe es zu - ich habe einen Tick. Ich bin im Rockfieber. Nachdem ich für mich ausgepuzzelt habe, wie ich mit meinem aktuellen Lieblingsgarn (für Röcke) meine Maße am Besten hinbekomme, bräuchte ich unzählige Paar Hände um alle Röcke zu stricken, die ich möchte. Na ja, es sind nur noch 2 1/2. Einer ist nach meinen Vorstellungen in der Mache, Garnpakete für zwei weitere liegen auf Halde. Hier ist nun mein 2. Indigo Ripples.

• Garn: Junghans Harmonie (100 m / 50 g)
• Menge: 6 Knäuel
• Nadeln: 3,5 mm für den gesamten Rock

Änderungen:

• Garn + Nadelstärke (kein Schrumpffaktor, da kein Jeansgarn)
• Verlängerung des glatten Teils auf 38 cm/15 inches
• Spitzenteil verkürzt auf 40 Reihen
• Taillenband gehäkelt statt I-Cord

Ok, I have to confess that I am in a craze - a skirt craze. After I puzzled out how to adapt the basic skirt pattern I like to my measurements with my favorite yarn, I would need a thousand hands to knit all the skirt stuff I want :-) Well, actually there are 2 1/2. I have knit 1/2 of an own design and there are two yarn packages in my stash for two more skirts. And here it is - the Indigo Ripples:

• Yarn: Junghans Harmonie (100 m / 50 g)
• Amount: 6 balls
• Needles: 3,5 mm
  

Changes:

• Yarn + needle size (no shrinkage because the yarn is not a jeans yarn)
• Lengthening of the stockinette part to 18 cm / 15 inches
• Shortening of the lace part to 40 rows
• Crochet drawstring instead of I-Cord

So, hier noch zwei Aufnahmen meines fertiggestellen Wave Skirts und ein paar Details.

Ich habe den rechte-Maschen-Teil verlängert und mit dem Spitzenteil erst ab dem Muster 2 der Anleitung begonnen. Die Verteilung der Muster im Feather-und-Fan-Bereich habe ich umberechnet.
I lengthened the stockinette part and started the lace section from the 2nd feather & fan pattern on. I rearranged the feather and fan lace part.

Wave skirt

Hier ist eine erste Aufnahme meines Cat Coyle Wave Skirts. Wieder in Wolle Rödel Borkum und wieder auf mich angepasst, d.h. Form des glatten Teils verändert und verlängert und Spitzenteil an diese Maße angepasst. Das ganze Teil in 10 Tage dank Fußball-EM. Denn bei spannenden Spielen stricke ich blind rechts superschnell in der Runde :-D


Here a first impression of my Cat Coyle Wave Skirt. Again done in Wolle Rödel Borkum and also again fit to my taste. Means I lengthened and modified the stockinette part and adapted the lace to it. The whole project done in 10 days because of Eurpean Football Championships. If I watch a thrilling game I knit with lightning speed :-D.

Lacy Skirt Without Bows

Ich bin von meiner eigenen Arbeit überzeugt :-D Der Cat Coyle-Rock Lacy skirt with bows wurde von mir irgendwie auf den Kopf gestellt. Zuerst einmal wollte ich keine zwei Teile stricken. Dann sollte er doch bitte vom Bund nach unten gestrickt werden und zusätzlich wollte ich die Taille etwas weiter, sodass ich den Rock auch mal hüftig tragen kann. Gerechnet und geplant und irgendwie so ziemlich viel geändert. Dabei vergaß ich, das Spitzenmustern zu konvertieren. Das ist mir erst nach dem ersten Rapport aufgefallen. Ich fand es dennoch schön und habe es gelassen. Am Schluss war ich in mein Werk verliebt. Mein Mann - entgegen sonstiger positiver Einstellung gegenüber meinen Produkten - war nicht so überschwänglich mit seiner Begeisterung. Im Gegenteil. Hmm, ich mag den Rock und ich war mir sicher, dass ich ihn überzeugen würde :-D Und das habe ich, denke ich. Ein bisschen hochgerüscht mit einem Blüschen und ein paar netten Slings, tja, was will man mehr an einem warmen Tag. Der Rock ist extrem bequem und angenehm auf der Haut. Ich habe 'Borkum' von Wolle Rödel verwendet, eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsgarne. Ich würde z.ZT. am Liebsten alles damit versuchen.

I am convinced about the outcome of my knitting work ;-) I more or less modified the Cat Coyle skirt Lacy Skirt With Bows completely. First I wanted just one piece not two that have to be sewn together. Then I wanted it to be knitted from the top down and additionally I modified the waist line. I wanted it a little bit wider so that the skirt could be worn on the hips as well. Calculated and planned and changed nearly everything. On top I forgot to convert the lace part to top down. I recognized that after the first repeat and went on because I liked what I saw. Finally I was in love with the finished skirt. My husband, who normally likes what I do, was not so amazed. Au contraire. Well, I was sure I could persuade him. And I guess I was successful. A little white blouse and a pair of cute slings were the perfect additional weapons in this battle :-) What else could be more convenient on a warm day as an office dress. The skirt is extremely comfortable and soft on the skin. I used Borkum from Wolle Rödel for the skirt. It is one of my favorite yarns. At the moment I would like to do almost everything with it.

Show-Off Ruffle Skirt - Update 02

Der Rock macht Fortschritte, besser gesagt, machte, denn ich bin seit einer Woche nicht zum Stricken an diesem Stück gekommen...leider :-(. Nachdem die endlosen Reihen an Gnubbeln fertig waren, kam das Aufribbeln dran. Auch so ein Thema, wenn man den Rock mit Wolle statt mit Baumwolle macht. Die Fasern verhaken sich und man muss alles fein säuberlich mit der Hand nach unten ribbeln. Das war einige Stunden Arbeit. Dann ging es los mit dem eigentlichen Rockteil. Das ging sehr zügig. Der Teil, wo die Abnahmen beginnen, wird dann wieder tricky, denn man kann nicht mehr so einfach blind stricken, da die Rippen nicht mehr gleich verteilt sind. Werde mich später, solange es noch hell ist (schwarze Wolle im Dunklen!!!), daran setzen.

The skirt progresses! Better to say it progressed. I was not able to work on it for one weak now. After finishing the endless bobble rows the frogging started which costed a lot of time. I used wool and not cotton or. And the single strands of yarn got caught so I had to loosen each row manually. Then the skirt part started. It was easy knitting until the decrease section. From now on I have to concentrate on the ribbing because it is alternating. No more blind knitting except I count all the time. Today I will grab the piece and work on it.

Secret of the Stole - Teil 3 / Hint 3

Der 3. Teil der Geheimnis-Stola ist fertig. Mehr Löcher :-) Das Design gefällt mir. Es sieht aus, als würden Schneeflocken auf dem Tuch tanzen. Ich fiebere dem nächsten Teil entgegen. Noch 3 Tage. In der Zwischenzeit habe ich ja noch einige andere Teile zu bearbeiten. Da wäre ja noch der Show-Off Rock. Ich habe 7 Gnubbelreihen gearbeitet. Das war's für den Teil. Ich kürze den Part um eine Gubbelreihe, da ich aufgrund meiner Länge den Rock etwas kürzen will. Für alle, die sich für den Rock interessieren, die Gnubbel waren zwar zeitintensiv, aber nicht zu langweilig. Ich konnte mich ganz gut entspannen.

Well, the 3rd part of the current stole mystery. More holes :-) I like the design. It reminds me of snow flakes falling down. My needles and I are burning to do more. Still three more days :-D. In the meantime there are the other things, e. g. the show-off skirt. I have seven rows of bobbles now, and last weekend I had to rework one complete row! I will not work another bobble row the pattern calls for. I want to shorten the skirt a little bit due to my length. All in all the bobbles were time consuming but not too boring. I relaxed while working on them.

Show-Off Ruffle Skirt - Update 01

Mein Show-Off Ruffle Skirt macht gaaanz langsame Fortschritte. Ich habe so ca. 350 Maschen oder so auf der Nadel, die auch noch mal rechts oder links verschränkt, mal normal gestrickt werden. Und dann diese wirklich endlosen Gnubbelreihen!!! Das Ergebnis muss sich wirklich lohnen für diese ganze Arbeit :-) Hier ein Bild der ersten zwei Gnubbelreihen:

Veeeery slow progresses on my show-off ruffle skirt. There are around 350 stitches on my needles which are knitted and purled through back loop let alone the never ending bobble rows. The result MUST be phenomenal with all this workload :-). A picture of the first two bobble rows:
