Visionen von einer Weihnachtspalme / Visions of a Xmas palm tree

Irgendwann so zu Anfang des Sommers hatte ich die glorreiche Idee, wie ich meine riesige Zimmerpalme zu Weihnachten schmücken könnte. Ich fantasierte von wahnsinnig vielen kleinen, sehr bunten Socken, Pullis und Pudelmützen. Es blieb bei der Träumerei :-)...bis auf einen verlorenen Mini-Sweater, den ich vor ca. 2 Wochen genadelt habe. Quasi der Prototyp für die Massenproduktion im nächsten Jahr. Der Pulli ist sooo niedlich. Aber ich habe noch keine Ahnung, ob ich die Geduld aufbringe, 50+ von diesen Teilen herzustellen. Mal sehen! Hier ist er jedefalls:

Sometime around the beginning of this year's summer I had a phenomenal plan of decorating my huge palm tree for Xmas with a gazillion tiny socks, sweaters and hats in mutiple colour ways. Dreams :-) ... except for one mini sweater I knitted 2 weeks ago. Maybe a kind of prototype for my mass production of next year. The sweater is really cute, but I do not have a clue yet whether I will have the patience for knitting 50+ mini sweaters. Wait and see! But for now here it is:

Secret of the Stole - Teil 2 / Hint 2

Ok, Secret of the stole wird wohl nicht so 'lacey' wie das ebenso zur Zeit laufende Secret of Chrysopolis-Mystery. Nichts desto trotz mag ich es. Chrysopolis werde ich wohl irgendwann danach stricken und vielleicht noch mit Kristallen tunen. Aber hier ist es nun, das 2. enthüllte Geheimnis:

Well, Secret of the stole is not as lacey as the Secret of Chrysopolis mystery running also these days. Nevertheless I like it. I am going to knit Chrysopolis somewhere in the future, maybe adding some crystal beads. But for now, here it is... the 2nd mystery hint revealed:

Secret of the Stole 1 - Teil 1 / Part 1

Ich kann wohl kaum einem Mystery widerstehen! Da ich es für 2 Shawls nicht gepackt habe, bei Renee mitzumachen, hatte ich wenigstens mit der Wolllieferung für Secret of the Stole Glück. Bisher ist der Schal nicht so ganz lacy. Ich bin gespannt, wie es weitergeht.

Das Garn ist von der Hamburger Wollfabrik, 200 gr. und ein paar Rocaille-Perlen.

It seems like I could not resist any Mystery! While it was not possible for me to take part in the last two mysteries by Renee, I was ready for Secret of the Stole. By now the stole is not so lacy. I am thrilled what will follow.

The yarn is from Hamburger Wollfabrik, 200 gr. and a couple of Rocailles.

Show-Off Ruffle Skirt - Update 01

Mein Show-Off Ruffle Skirt macht gaaanz langsame Fortschritte. Ich habe so ca. 350 Maschen oder so auf der Nadel, die auch noch mal rechts oder links verschränkt, mal normal gestrickt werden. Und dann diese wirklich endlosen Gnubbelreihen!!! Das Ergebnis muss sich wirklich lohnen für diese ganze Arbeit :-) Hier ein Bild der ersten zwei Gnubbelreihen:

Veeeery slow progresses on my show-off ruffle skirt. There are around 350 stitches on my needles which are knitted and purled through back loop let alone the never ending bobble rows. The result MUST be phenomenal with all this workload :-). A picture of the first two bobble rows:

Indigo Ripples Rock / Indigo Ripples Skirt

Mein Indigo Ripples Rock ist schon lange fertig, aber mit Sommer war es dann wohl nichts mehr, um ihn zu tragen :-(. Er passt prima und die Ausführung gefällt mir wirklich gut. Hätte nie gedacht, dass ich mir einmal einen Rock stricken würde. Jedenfalls habe ich Feuer gefangen. Jedem, der auch mit Jeansgarn einen Rock oder etwas anderes stricken möchte, kann ich nur empfehlen, eine Maschenprobe zu machen und sie zu waschen. Der Schrumpffaktor ist erheblich.

The Indigo Ripples Skirt is long done, but summer around here was not really summer. The skirt fits fantastic and now it is too cold to wear it :-(. Never thought I woud knit myself a skirt. But now I love it and got hooked, more to come, I guess. To everyone who would like to knit something (maybe the same skirt) with denim yarn, I highly recommend to make a gauge swatch and wash it. Shrinkage test.

Material: Debbie Bliss Pure Silk, 2 Stränge
Änderungen: Da die Seide dicker als die Originalwolle ist, habe ich weniger Maschen aufgenommen und auch in der Länge stark gekürzt, da ich eher kurz bin :-D

Modifications: Due to Debbie Bliss Pure Silk being thicker than the original yarn recommendation I casted on fewer stitches and I shortened the scarf, because I am not a tall person.
